I'm sure the time between these posts is getting shorter? Or perhaps this is just another sign of old age...
This week will be short and sweet, a little like the food I'll be eating! We're both off work this week, so fully intend to make pigs of ourselves to celebrate the Jubilee! I'm not making any excuses. It's like Christmas. It would be rude not to (see next week's panic diet post...)
So, here goes... (don't give me that look... I can feel your eyes...)
Monday: Chinese Takeaway from Golden Harvest in Horwich. We went to the street party in Manchester today and neither of us had the inclination to eat any proper food after scoffing a massive double burger for lunch! See upcoming post...
Tuesday: Might have a night of normality as I know what is coming tomorrow. Might have something light like chicken breasts with spicy cous cous. This should help fend off the gout for another day.
Wednesday: We're going back to Lucy's for Pudding Club!
Thursday: I'm thinking chilli. I can make it the day before so it will have matured nicely before it's devoured. I'll serve it with skinny fries for a change (my friend Vicki once served skinny fries with venison casserole - I've been converted ever since. It just works!)
Friday: There's a new place that we're thinking of trying, so might just do that.
Saturday: It's CAKE CLUB! I'm taking Linzi's advice and eating nothing but a packet of crisps when I get home. Apparently this helps with the 'cake ache' as I've started calling it!
Sunday: I'm going to be honest and say I really have no idea! I'm not thinking about Sunday yet!
